No doubt that Twitter is one of the biggest (if not the biggest) and fastest growing social networking sites ever. Let me be honest, all of these methods come down to one simple way, using your twitter (whether its a link in your tweets or using your profile background to show ads) to advertise product/service. With Twittad You basically sell your background space for a predetermined amount of time, which you specify. Like for 7 days, 15 days, 1 Month, and so on. You make a profile for it and put it up for sale. Advertiser will buy your space and use it for whatever days to show their ads, and you get paid. The more followers you have, the more chances you have for getting your background sold.
2. Magpie Update: Magpie is now SponsorTweets.
Magpie is a little different in the way it works. They find advertiser (in their network) who have product/service that match the topics of your tweets, and place their ads(magpie-tweet) next to your tweet. You can earn money by using different kind of ads like, Pay-per-Click, Pay-per-Sale, Pay-per-Lead and Pay-per-View. You choose if you want magpie-tweet in every tweets or one magpie-tweet per 200 tweets.
The good thing is that they will let you pre-approve all magpie-tweets, so that you’re not showing ads you don’t want to show. Each time the ad campaign is used in your tweets, you get paid. So basically you don’t have to do anything but tweet as usual, or if you want to make more money, you can use popular keywords in your tweets that you know will get you better paying ads.

Great methods! My long term method for making money on Twitter won’t appeal to everyone: I send traffic to subscribe to my optin email lists and I raise my business brand awareness in my tweets. Most of all, I aim to be perceived as an interesting person with something to say who stands out a little from the pack. Then people revisit me! You could call it building rapport or you could call it traffic control – I call it interaction marketing.

I’ve been using a couple of twitter advertising services; revtwt and mylikes. Both work well, but don’t expect to be making a living from either. You really need 30,000+ followers to make any real money and even then it’s going to be pocket money. The best way to use twitter is to market your own or affiliate products.

Thanks for sharing, I’m interested in making money on Twitter, but am just now hearing about these programs. There are lots of ways to get followers, but you have to watch some of the automated methods to make sure you’re not getting random, spammy ones! If you get targeted followers, you can definitely find ways to start counting the money.
