How do you get more people to Digg your posts? It is no secret that Social Bookmarking sites such as Digg have a profound effect on the amount of traffic a site can receive. Digg is one of the top candidate when it comes to driving huge amounts of quality traffic to your blog. We all have seen those articles on the first page of Digg, which have been dugged hundreds of times by people. Obviously the more Digg your post gets, the more likely it is that it will land on the home page of Digg. But how do you find that many people to Digg your posts? not many bloggers have that many friends who are members of Digg and will Digg their posts. So, how do you get your posts to be Digged hundreds of times? Here are 6 great things you can do to dramatically increase the number of Digg your posts receive.
Network And Find Diggger Friends
If you pay attention, you will notice that almost all the bloggers who get the most traffic from Digg, are the ones who are networking with a group of other bloggers. It is a very common and effective practice. They help one another by Digging each others content, which helps each individual get a great deal of targeted traffic from Digg. Its simply comes down to this: You Digg my content, I Digg yours. Imagine the power of a 100 networker helping each other by taking 10 minuets a day to Digg each others new posts. The bigger your network is, the more exposure you get.
Make It Easy To Digg Your Posts
You already have some visitors and subscribers to your blog, don’t you? Well, use the help of your already readers to gain more traffic from Digg, by making the Digging process quick and convenient for them. By installing plug-ins such as Digg This O’ Mine or Digg Digg that allows you to place a little Digg button at the end or beginning of each post, make it easy for visitors to Digg your post with a click of a button.
Avoid All Caps
Avoid using all caps in your title. So many bloggers use caps in hopes of grabbing people’s attention. It doesn’t work. its actually annoying. Social Networkers see it as a slap to their face!
Make The Article Digg Friendly
By changing your article 20% to 30%, you can make your articles more Digg friendly and have a unique submission on Digg as well. Since most Digggers scan through the articles, you can make your new post Digg friendly by making your article shorter and highlighting the important points you want people to take away by reading the article. The more you can give them something of a value in the shorter amount of time than others, the more likely they are to Digg your article.
Use Catchy Title
You are no stranger to this. Everyone knows the importance of a title. It’s what make a readers decide if (s)he wants to click on it, or just ignore it. A great title is a title that has the main (the most important) message of the article packed in a couple of words that gets ahold of visitors attention and doesn’t let go until they click on it.
Short But Descriptive Summary
I see many article on Digg with no summary at all. Some blogger forget the fact that the summary of an article is what makes a visitor decide if the article is worthy enough to be further pursued, and that (s)he will get what the the author (you) has promised in the title. Although a summary should be a quick overview of your article, it should not give away the whole thing. You want to make them interested enough to want to click continue and find out what happens next.
So, if you want more traffic, more quality targeted traffic that is, Incorporate these simple yet essential strategies. These are the simple yet effective ways you can use to get more people to Digg your posts.

thank you, i am glad you liked the article. hope to see you more often.
Was just doing a search for information on “social bookmarking articles” and the first article had your link. Low and behold your site is full of great articles and content on this subject. bookmarking sites as you said are very powerful. I am starting to really get a sense of that now. I believe if more people understood and did form groups that bookmarked (digg etc.) each others content. Then they would have a very powerful tool.
cool – no i mean “Great!” stuff here
thanks
