TradePlacer, I dont know of anyone who is getting rich with it either. There are a few that really make good money, but for the majority its just another way to make some money to pay the bills.

Yeah, I guess it really depends on the domain, and traffic you get. I some people that make decent cash flow from it, but I don’t know of anyone getting rich from adsense.

Yup; PPC can get crazy. In some of the niches I work, $20 CPC is very common; though I haven’t seen $100 CPC (nor do I know how you would clear your cost on it without an outstanding landing page and incredible CPA deal), I wouldn’t be too surprised to see it.

My advice to any ‘newb’ would be to really, really stick it out. It takes time to learn the ropes AND develop your niche. By time, I don’t mean days or weeks; I mean months and years… but, its well worth it.

Absolutely dwkblog. Niches like forex, weight loss, insurance and etc are very hot and competitive. So there is a big competition amongst advertises who use PPC services such as adwords for getting their ads shown first. So of course they end up paying way more than you would pay for an average ad, which is why adsense can pay you more for such clicks.

But these are rare case. I mean not every time someone clicks on an ad about … say forex, your gonna get $100. But its possible. Thats why people always are trying to build blogs built around popular niches, so their adsense will serve high paying ads on their blog.

I agree totally Jewin that there are many more ways to make money than adsense, but I think adsense kind of like the most known and its very easy to setup. So for beginners its a simple set and forget thing.
And your absolutely right about adding value. Like you said, if you dont provide valuable information, readers will probably forget about coming back to you.

Hm. Hm. Hm. Adsense is alright as a filler I think, but there are much more lucrative CPA offers out there. However, you make a very good point about adding value, ” As long as you can keep up with creating quality and useful content for your readers, and promote your blog to drive traffic to it, you can make money with your blog.”. Exactly. You need to create value for your visitors to really do well. If there’s little of value on your site, then why would visitors come back?

No I don’t think anybody can make $10 as soon as they have a blog up and running, and don’t forget these are not facts. Its just an average number. I know people who have been blogging for more than 2 years and aren’t making even $5 a day from adsense, and at the same time I know blogger who hit the $10 a day mark after only one month or so. It all depends on how hard and smart you work on your blog.
