Can you make money with myspace? is there really a way to make money on my myspace? i have encountered these questions many times, in forums, chat rooms and even some readers asking me about it. well the short answer would be, yes you can use your myspace to make money online. here is how and why.
Social networking by all means, has been the biggest game changer in the evolution of socialization. it has changed the way we receive and pass on information. in mere seconds you can send a massage to to hundreds of thousands of people around the world, and that makes the social networking sites a prime market for advertisers who are trying to get their product and services seen by as many people as possible.
Since MySpace is the largest social networking site(some would argue with that!), advertisers and online marketers are taking a closer look at what can be done to use this huge platform to gain more capital. with its millions of daily users myspace is an ideal place to start a campaign for their product and services. it makes it very easy and quick to reach millions of potential customers, and ultimately make more money. but is there any way that the average myspace user like me and you can make money using myspace? the answer to that question is yes, there are some ways to make money with myspace, while helping the same advertisers sell their product. you see, most of these companies don’t have a big myspace profile as an average user of myspace like me and you might have. that’s where you and i come in, and can get our share of the vast amount of money that is already being made on myspace.
In order to start making money on myspace, of course you need a myspace account. then you need to signup with an affiliate programs ( if you don’t know what affiliate marketing is, here is a quick guide to affiliate marketing and making money with affiliate marketing) like ClickBank or ShareAsale . these are all free to join. after registering, start looking for product or services that you think your myspace friends would be interested in buying, which with the vast amount of advertisers from every niche imaginable, using these affiliate programs, its virtually impossible to not find a product or a service that someone may like. upon finding a product of your liking, you will be given a specifically coded links that you can post anywhere on the internet. that would be your affiliate code for that product or service. whenever somebody uses that link to buy that product or service, you will get a percentage of that sale, as your affiliate commission. i’ll tell you later how and where to use this code.
To be successful using this method to make money on myspace, you need traffic and lots of it, which in this case means more myspce friends. fortunately it is very easy to find friends on myspace simply by searching and requesting others to be your friend. if you are just starting with myspace, then you need to build up and it can take time, but of course if you have had an account for a while, you might very well have a good number of myspace friends. in any case, you can simply brows and search for others to join your myspace as a friend. since you are looking for big numbers of people to expose your product to them(remember, the more friends you have on my space, the more chances you have for earning more money), this method of manually searching and sending massages to people to join you as a friend, will prove to be hard and very time consuming task. fortunately there is a free software (30 days) that you can use to mass invite friends with a click of a button. with this software you can add up to 500 friends a day, but i wouldn’t suggest adding more than 100 or so friends a day. (more than that will result in myspace banning your account).
It is important not to start your advertising campaign right away. you need to build a relationship with people and show them you are not a spammer. try to be helpful. interact with your myspace friends. for at least a week or so, put your effort into that and finding and adding new friends (potential buyers) to your myspace friend list.
When you know that you have established your self your myspace community, that’s when you can start using those codes. you can simply copy your affiliate codes and past them any where you want in your myspace. you can use bulletins, messages, or comments to post these links, or you can have them appear as ads on your myspace blog. there are many ways to do this. you just need to be creative and capture peoples attention to the link. one of the most important factors in drawing people into your link is the way you represent them. not everybody is going to click on your link. so in order to make sure more people click on that link and ultimately buy the product, you have to make the link interesting, like using bold text or interesting headlines and etc. one of the cool things about the mentioned free software, is that it makes this process very fast and affective. it will help you easily create a captivating bulletin with your affiliate link embedded within it, and send it out automatically. so your job is cut to a very short but effective campaign.
You can use the same method to make money on facebook or make money on twitter. but remember, nothing of importance is accomplished easy and overnight, specially making money online. one of the common reason for majority of people failing in making money online, is the fact that they give up right before all of their hard work is about to payoff. you need to work hard and show persistency. these two factors combined with a focused attitude towards your goal will be the deciding factors in your success or failure in making money online and in this case making money with myspace. good luck.
