The fact that yahoo answers is the biggest question and answer site out there, and that thousands of people visit Yahoo Answers everyday, makes Yahoo Answers a powerful tool that almost anyone can use to make money. Here is a step by step plan on how to make money using yahoo answers:
Select a profitable niche
Pick a niche hat is profitable. A subject that is hot and has a lot of people interested in it. Niches like online money making, weight loss, diet, forex are some of the most profitable niches out there. Of course, they are some of the most competitive ones as well. So, when choosing your niche, keep that in mind. The best way to do this, is to chose a niche you are passionate about and or have some knowledge about it that is popular, but not to competitive.
Select a CPA offer
For those of you who aren’t familiar with CPA, CPA stands for Cost Per Action. It means every time someone who you sent to the offer page, takes the required action, it could be entering an email address, zip code, or subscribing to a trial or what have you, you get a commission. In this step you have to find an offer to promote on Yahoo Answers. This is how you will be making your money using Yahoo Answers. You will be promoting CPA offers. If you aren’t already registered with a CPA network, sign up for a few. I personally use maxbounty and CommissionJunction.
Pick offers that don’t require too much action. Offers that convert easier. Email offers, zip code offers are the best ones. These offers are simply offers that the person who you sent to them has to only enter and submit their email address or zip cod, in order for you to get a commission. Its much easier to get people to enter an email address or a zip code than asking them to buy something. Of course, this product has to be related to the niche you picked in the first step. The offer you choose can have a direct effect on whether you make money using Yahoo Answers or not.
Get a free yahoo answers account
If you don’t already have an account, get a free Yahoo answers account.
Find questions related to the offer
Use yahoo answers custom search feature and find questions related to your niche and the offer you are promoting. You want to customize your search so the results will include only open questions. Obviously because a resolved question will not do you any good.
Answer questions
Start answering question related to your niche and the offer you are promoting. Try to not over promote. It’s always best to be really helpful in answering questions, and not just post a link to your CPA offer. Be genuine in helping people while at the same time promoting your CPA offer. When linking to your CPA offer, use only the resource box to link to it. Don’t put links in the body of the answer, as it looks spammy.
Rinse and repeat
Repeat this process over and over again. Of course, you can try different niches and different CPA offers to promote. If you can master this process, you can really make good money doing this. It takes a little time and work, but its well worth it. It wont cost you any money and you can see results almost immediately.
Don’t spam the site by copy pasting the same answers over and over again. Your account will be deleted. And beside that, its not an ethical way to build a business. Yes, it can be a business! I mean, it is affiliate marketing, but in a different level using different resources. You are promoting an affiliate product (offer) and earning commissions. This is it! This is how you can make money using yahoo answers.

Well this is a first and quite different to what a lot of people are doing, probably worth a try!
Yahoo Answers is also very good for building links or traffic to your site.

You are absolutely correct. But, I am not advocating spamming. As long as you genuinely answer questions and not include your links in every answer you give, you will be fine.

Nice article! I never thought of doing this. I think first I will have to try to learn a little more about CPA. But maybe that is something I could just pick up along the way? I already have a free yahoo answers account. At least it won’t cost anything to try. You can’t say that about too many things!
You are right. It is important with yahoo answers not to post with too many links. I think it is best to answer many questions without using links and genuinely try to be helpful. Then, occasionally you can answer a question with a link. If I recall correctly, and i haven’t been to yahoo answers in a long time, I believe you must earn a certain number of points by answering questions before they allow you to leave a link. At least that’s the way it used to be.

You are right, you have to have a certain amount of points, to reach level 2, which will enable you to add links to your answers. And yes, it is a good idea to learn about CPA first, although as you said, you could learn as you go along, since you dont have to spend any money, so you are not risking losing any money, but time.
