Satrap, I have to admit I starting experimenting with monetization from day one on my site. Can’t say it was a total mistake, since it has helped me learn. Then again, have to admit the cash has hardly been flowing in! At least my readers won’t be shocked by the introduction of ads and affiliate links. Hey, making a little money is what makes blogging fun. I’ve been making a couple of dollars a month from the beginning. Figure if it works on a small scale, it should get better as traffic improves. That’s motivational.

Also depends on how you approach your business and if you treat it like one. Some people think of online marketing as more of hobby, others take it more seriously. You have to constantly research as there are always new tools and ways of doing things. Blogs like this one are great for getting ideas.

Hey David, it really depends o how much time and effort your willing to put into it. There are people who make 6 figure income doing it, and other who make a couple of dollars a week.

Well David, it really depend on many different factors like your specific niche, how much time and effort your willing to put into it and many other things. I have seen people make only a couple of hundred dollars a month with niche marketing, and I also have seen people make a comfortable living with niche marketing.
So, there is no one number for all. I guess you could say it depends on how you work on it and how far you are willing to go to succeed.
