What is GPT and How Can You Make Money With it?

What is GPT and how does it work? Is GPT scam or a legitimate way of making money online?… These are question being asked a lot lately, due to the increasingly popularity of GPT programs. Do a quick search on your favorite search engine and you will be quite surprised by the number of GPT sites that are out there. GPT sites are very popular, especially amongst stay at home moms, young college students and anyone who is trying to make extra money in their spare time.

How does GPT work?
GPT stands for Get Paid To and can be broken down to a few different categories, like GPTC (get paid to click), GPTR (get paid to read email) and PTR (get paid to review).GPT sites are basically reward programs where members are paid for doing simple things such as reading emails, subscribing to free newsletters, visiting interesting websites, completing free offers, taking online surveys, playing games, shopping and more. Basically, you get paid to do things on the internet that you probably already do.

Unfortunately, since get paid to programs are very popular, scammers have been at it as well trying to rip interested people off. There are hundreds of GPT sites that come and go every day. They make false promises and pretend to be legit, convincing people they will get paid. So, people like you and I join these sites, complete countless number of offers to reach the minimum required for cashing out. Then, when it’s time to get paid, they never receive any money! Usually, scam GPT sites don’t last more than a few months, since word gets out and people realize they are a GPT scam.

About three years ago I came across a website claiming to be a legitimate GPTR site. The site was pulling in members, promising that each email they read will get them paid at least $10 and up to $100! That is a lot of money for simply opening an email. Any sensible person would instantly realize its to good to be true. Unfortunately, many people who are desperate to make money online, over look these tale tale signs and fall for such scams. A month latter, I went back to see if the site was still going. Of course it was no where to be found!

If you want to earn extra money online and decide to try GPT programs, be sure to use related forums and blogs to find out about legitimate get paid to sites. Don’t waste your time and fall for get paid to scams. Otherwise, you will be clicking links for a month or signing up for bunch of offers they send you, only to find out that the company or website responsible for paying you is nowhere to be found.

Usually the scammers don’t stick around for long, since they’re discovered fairly quickly. So, always look for GPT sites that have been around for a while. There are many great GPT sites that have been around for years and have been paying their members for years. I myself am a member of some of these legitimate GPT sites and use them whenever I have free time to make a few extra dollars.

Referral is the key
As you probably know, building down-line is becoming a very successful way of making extra money in whichever field you happened to be in. Well, in the case of GPT programs it’s one of the best ways to make more money. Most GPT sites allow you to earn a commission for every person you refer and some get paid to programs go even one step farther and give you commission for people who your referrals refer (in some cases it goes up to 5/6 levels down).

So, to earn even more money with GPT sites, refer your friends and family. If you have a your own website or blog, put your referral link up and let people know about it. Put your referral link on your Facebook and twitter. The more people you refer, the more money you can earn.
