Why Don’t I Get Much Traffic From Article Directories I Submitted My Articles To?
Why cant I get any traffic from my article marketing efforts? I have submitted many articles to countless number of article directories, but I am not getting any traffic from those sites!… Sounds familiar? I have been using article marketing in the past few months aggressively, and I have gotten fantastic results. But, so many times, I hear such comments from people who have been submitting articles to article directories like crazy, but not getting much traffic from them. If you are one of those who despite their efforts in article marketing, aren’t getting any noticeable amount of targeted traffic to their blogs, read on to find out what you are doing wrong.
When it comes to traffic generation, writing articles for article marketing is one of the best ways to drive traffic to your site. Submitting article to different article directories allows you to build quality back-links for your site quickly, while at the same time driving targeted traffic to it.
Don’t give out all the answers!
Writing articles for article marketing is all about creating high quality and useful content that the readers can actually benefit from, while keeping them hungry for more. If you give them everything they need to know, then there wont be a reason for them to click on your link and visit your site. You need to give them enough information that shows them you know what your talking about it, but leaving a few key points out, and using the resource box with a strong call to action to lead them to click on your link and visit your site to find out more about the topic.
So, when writing articles for your article marketing campaign, keep in mind not to give out all the information. Leave a few important part out, but use the resource box to let them know that by clicking on your link, they can get the answers and find out about those important points. Write your articles following this simple rule, and you are sure to see a huge increase in the amounts of traffic you get from the article directories you used for your article marketing campaign.

An old post but I’m going comment anyway
One thing I have been doing is not posting the full article, they have to click to get the rest. I tend to write longer blog posts, usually around 1200 – 1500 words.
Then what I do is spin and submit only the first 700 words or so, making sure to cut off in the middle of an interesting sentence. Then they have to click the link to get the rest of the story

I agree that in posting and submitting to article directories, you don’t have to give out everything to give the readers a little mystery and make them click your link and visit your website to get more information about your topic.

I am glad its working for you Carrie, you are absolutely right, you have to stick with sites related to your niche and backlinks built using such sites carry more weight than non relevant sites.

Hey Nicebaby, yeah I mean if you give out all the information, they wont have any reason to visit your site. You gave them all the needed to know.
I know Isnare is a great article;e directory, but they started charging a fee for even submission to their own site, and as much as I like them and want to use them, I think there are a lot more better article directories that I can submit my article to for free.
